Maximinus I, 235-238. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 30 mm, 19.62 g, 12 h), Rome, 235. IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximinus I to right, seen from behind. Rev. PROVIDENTIA AVG / S - C Providentia standing front, head to left, holding baton over globe in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left. BMC 17. Cohen 80. RIC 61. Perfectly centered and with a lovely light brown patina. Very minor traces of corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
